The 77 electrode is a premium model that produces crack-resistant, porosity-free, and high-strength welds. It boasts an impressively high penetration, allowing it to anchor deep within the subsurface of cast iron. It seals in void-causing contaminants and can be used as a prep for the 77 electrode. It’s commonly used for cladding operations.
